Kira E. Ogle

Kira Ogle is a Montana-based architect and the founder of Legends Studio, Inc., a design practice rooted in place, craft, and environmental responsibility. Born and raised in Bozeman, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Montana State University in 1995. In 2003, she co-founded Legends Studio, and in 2009 became the firm’s sole owner and principal architect, shaping the studio into a nimble, client-focused practice serving projects across the Mountain West and beyond.
Kira’s work is guided by a deep respect for landscape, climate, and context. Her approach blends practical building knowledge with thoughtful, contemporary design, resulting in architecture that is efficient, durable, and closely tied to its surroundings. She remains personally involved in every phase of the process, from early concept through construction, working closely with clients, consultants, and builders to bring each project to life.
Her projects range from commercial and adaptive-reuse work to custom residential design. In 2007, she received the Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation from the Bozeman Historic Preservation Advisory Board for her work on the Golden Rule Building. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and NCARB. In 2025, she became a Certified Passive House Designer, further advancing her commitment to high-performance, climate-responsive design.

Bookkeeper | Office Manager | Human Resources
Karen joined Legends Studio in 2016 and oversees the firm’s financial and administrative operations. As Bookkeeper and Office Manager, she manages day-to-day accounting, data entry, client billing and collections, payroll, and general office administration. She also leads the firm’s human resources functions, helping maintain efficient internal operations and a supportive workplace environment.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Montana State University. In addition to her role at Legends Studio, she is an owner and qualified intermediary at 1031 Property Exchange in Bozeman.
